Another bold record was recently set at the Tincan Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, generating over ₦128.4 billion in revenue for the month of May 2025. According record, this milestone represents a tremendous increase from the ₦92.67 billion collected in the same period in 2024, underscoring the Command’s continued excellence in revenue generation, trade facilitation, and anti-smuggling operations.
The impressive figure ₦128,446,323,224.79 was confirmed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Customs Oscar Ivara, and adds to a series of monthly milestones by the Command under the leadership of Comptroller Frank Okechukwu Onyeka.
“This Command is committed to seamless revenue generation while ensuring only legitimate trade is facilitated through the port,” Comptroller Onyeka said, reiterating his stance on strict adherence to economic integrity and national interest.
The upward revenue trend has been consistent since the beginning of the year. In April 2025, the Command collected ₦145 billion, up from ₦95.5 billion in April 2024.
