The stage getting set Platform Reporters, a frontline online news publishers and promoters of the prestigous maritime industry pageantry, Face of Maritime International (FOMI) warms-up to confer National Sheroes and Heroes (NASH) Award to some exceptional men and woman who have contributed to national development from the Fields of endeavours. .
The award conferrement will take place at the occasion of the 2025 Grand Finale and 10th Anniversary of Face Of Maritime International scheduled to hold on Friday, October 3rd, 2025 at Villa Angelia Hotel, Ikoyi Lagos.
The 2025 nominees for the National Heroes Award category include: HRM Eze Amb. Damian Emeka Obianigwe KSM JP, Chairman, FANO Group of Companies; HRM Oba Adelodun Adeniyi, Oloja of Oja, Ila-Oragun; Prince Dr Adewale Adeyanju, BOT Chairman, Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria; Mr. Samson Isaac, Head of Operations, Mobil Oil; and Mr. Oluwadamilola Emmanuel, General Manager, Lagos Waterways Authority.
Whereas for the National Sheroes Award category, the 2025 nominees are: Mrs Benedine Eloka, Vice President, Clarion Shipping West Africa Ltd; Mrs. Titi Ejimagwa, First Black Five-star Director & Global Icon, Longrich International; Barr. Nneka Nwarueze, Founder, Health Guarde and Yeni Anikulapo Kuti, Founder, Felabration.
Speaking while briefing newsmen on Friday in Lagos ahead of the occasion, the Publisher of Platform Reporters who doubles as the Director, Face Of Maritime International, Mr Sylva Obasi provided some insights on what the award is set to achieve.
According to him, “The National Sheroes and Heroes (NASH) Award is a yearly special recognition award designed to honour outstanding and courageous men and women who have risen from zero to hero or shero in their fields of endeavours. People who have used their talents, professions or positions to champion noble courses and by so doing affect the lives of many Nigerians positively such that they can be called heroes and Sheroes of our time.”
Obasi further hinted that such exceptional men and women from different walks of life are nominated from various sectors and regions of Nigeria each year for the award.
Also speaking, the Chairperson, Central Organising Committee of the event and CEO of Bomarah Group, Hajia Bola Muse expressed the preparedness of the organisers to host a memorable occasion in Ikoyi, the heart of Lagos.
According to her, “The event, starting with a red carpet interviews at 3pm, will feature keynote lecture, pageantry displays, comedy/dance shows and the unveiling of the Girls Go-To-Sea Trust Fund”.
“It promises to be an exciting celebration of FOMI’s decade-long journey, highlighting its impacts on the maritime industry under the theme “FOMI – A Decade of Vision, Creativity, Resilience, and Impacts”, Bola Muse revealed, adding that FOMI’s 10 years of impacts is worth celebrating.
