The Supreme Council Summit of the Man of Order and Discipline Movement of Nigeria – MOD, held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, was marked with appreciation and tributes as the current National Chaplain, Very Rev. Fr. MOD General Celestine Ejike Aniofor, extolled the exemplary life and service of the outgoing National Chaplain, Very Rev. Fr. MOD Major General Augustine Oranyelu Ndukaji.
In his tribute, Fr. Aniofor described his predecessor as a perfect role model and a beacon of discipline not only to MOD members, but to the entire nation. He noted that Fr. Ndukaji is a distinguished senior Catholic priest of the Catholic Diocese of Nnewi, Anambra State, currently serving as the Episcopal Vicar for the Ihiala Region and Parish Priest of St. Martin of Tours Parish, Ihiala.
“His agility and thorough way of doing things is second to none,” Fr. Aniofor declared. “So many of us have admired him for a long time. On behalf of all MOD members across Nigeria, we thank God for what He has been doing through you. You have sacrificed a lot for MOD and have made indelible contributions towards the growth, structure, and national visibility of the Movement. Our prayer is that the good Lord continues to protect, strengthen and guide you as you continue to win souls in His vineyard. Amen.”
The current National Chaplain further highlighted that Very Rev. Fr. MOD Major General Augustine Ndukaji is a native of Nkwelle Ezunaka in Oyi Local Government Area, Anambra State. He was ordained a Catholic priest on August 21, 1987, marking 39 years of dedicated service in the Lord’s vineyard.
“Not minding his age, Fr. Kajis remains very strong, gallant and committed. He kneels and genuflects with ease, a clear testimony that the grace of God and discipline of service are still at work in him,” Fr. Aniofor added.
The summit attendees responded with a standing ovation, acknowledging Fr. Ndukaji’s legacy of Order, Discipline, Integrity, Patriotism and Faith as the golden values that have shaped MOD’s identity under his chaplaincy

Fr. Ndukaji’s era will be remembered as the era that rooted MOD deeply in the values of the Cross and the values of the Nation” he concluded.
