A senior officer of the Man of Order and Discipline Movement of Nigeria, MOD Lt Col Chinyelu Chukwuma, who doubles as the National Central Planning Committee Secretary of the just concluded National Security summit and the National Media Deputy Director, serving as the second-in-command within the National Media structure has charged all members of the Movement nationwide to live a life of Service, Discipline, Integrity, Patriotism, Leadership, and Positive Influence. She gave the charge during an interview with National Impact Glitz Magazine after the MOD Supreme Council Summit (SMC) held in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
According to the smart officer whose life is marked with visible agility, MOD must not only talk about order and discipline but must demonstrate it in daily conduct.
“Our nation needs men and women who will lead by example. As MOD members, we are called to serve our communities selflessly, uphold discipline in all we do, act with integrity, and show patriotism at all times,” she noted.
She further emphasized that every MOD member must aspire to be a leader and a positive influence in their homes, workplaces, schools, and society at large. She reminded members that the strength of MOD lies in character. “If we live by these values, MOD will continue to be respected as a movement that builds the nation through character,” she stated.
Furthermore, she urged State, Zonal and Divisional leaders to ensure that the charge is cascaded to every unit and member across the country. “Let us therefore become ambassadors of Peace wherever we find ourselves. Let our conduct reflect the values we profess. Let us support one another, respect constituted authorities, share useful information responsibly, and remain committed to the growth and unity of MOD Nigeria. The future of MOD Nigeria will not be built by a few individuals alone. It will be built by every MEMBER who chooses to SERVE Faithfully, ACT Responsibly, and Contribute POSITIVELY. Let us move forward with one vision, one purpose and one commitment to building a stronger, more united, disciplined, and impactful MOD Nigeria” she added.
To the National Executive Council, Lt. Col. Chinyelu sincerely commended and appreciated them for their commitment, sacrifices, leadership, and determination in moving MOD Nigeria forward, noting that organising a programme of this magnitude requires vision, coordination, resources, patience, and strong leadership. The successful hosting of the National Security Summit is therefore a clear testimony to the dedication and collective efforts of the NEC and everyone who contributed to its success.
“My words of encouragement to the NEC is: Please Do Not RELENT. Every great institution passes through challenges, but what matters is the courage and wisdom to remain focused on the vision. Let us continue to build on the successes achieved, learn from our experiences, strengthen our structures, promote unity, and create greater opportunities for members to contribute their talents and expertise. The work may be demanding, but the impact of today’s sacrifices will become the legacy of tomorrow. MOD Nigeria has a future, and that future is in our collective hands” she said.
Reacting to the success of the National security summit, MOD Lt Col Chukwuma said, “In my opinion as the Central Planning Committee Secretary, the just concluded First MOD National Security Summit at Uyo, was a historic, timely and highly impactful programme. It provided a strategic platform for members of the Man of Order and Discipline Movement to come together, deliberate, learn and contribute meaningfully to the security and development of our nation.”
“Beyond the lectures and presentations, the Summit strengthened our understanding of the important role that the Church, communities, families, and responsible citizens can play in promoting peace, security, intelligence sharing, early warning, discipline, and national development.”
“I believe the Summit has opened a new chapter for MOD Nigeria and has further demonstrated that MOD is not only an organisation committed to discipline within the Church, but also a movement capable of making meaningful contributions to national security and societal transformation.”
Talking about her duties as the National Media Deputy Coordinator and the secretary of the National Central Planning committee, the eloquent Lt Col stated thus:
“My responsibilities include supporting the coordination and administration of the National Central Planning Committee, assisting in effective communication and information flow, and working closely with the leadership and relevant committees to ensure that programmes, activities, decisions, and achievements of MOD Nigeria are properly communicated and documented.”
“As the National Deputy Director Media, my role is also to support the National Media leadership in coordinating publicity, media coverage, content development, documentation, and the effective projection of the image and activities of MOD Nigeria to its members and the wider public. I see both offices not simply as positions of honour, but as positions of responsibility and service. My Commitment is to continue serving with dedication, professionalism, loyalty, discipline and a strong sense of responsibility toward the Growth and Progress of MOD Nigeria” she concluded.
