The National Patrons’ Secretary of Man of Order and Discipline Movement of Nigeria, Prince Engr MOD Col Arinze Nwokeji has revealed to journalists at Uyo that the National Security summit is strategically focusing on Discipline and Vigilance so that the movement will get to the next level.
In an exclusive interview with National Impact Glitz Magazine at Uyo, the National Patrons’ Secretary, Prince Engr Arinze A. Nwokeji applauded the overwhelming turnout of members of MOD and Chaplains across the 36 states of the federation and the federal capital territory for the first National Security summit. He noted that MOD members at all levels have proved themselves worthy as partners in progress for the repositioning of the movement not withstanding the economic hardship and insecurity in the country.
“I am exceedingly very grateful for the massive turnout. They have proved that with one soul and one body, they are ready to move MOD forward in Nigeria”.
He further revealed that so many that could not come have called him to declare reasons and state that their minds are at the summit.
Talking about the major reason for this National security Summit and where MOD will be after this Summit, the cerebral and indepth Secretary of the National Patrons’ council revealed thus; ” this is what is called progress in continuity. We set up this template to move MOD beyond where it is since 43 years ago. Time is changing and the world is evolving. We are in a new millennium and we can’t be static or comatose. We have to move with the trends of time. The security apparatus in the Catholic Church and the communities have changed over time. Consequently, we will continue to show proactive leadership on the way forward. Not minding suggestions, we welcome constructive criticism so that we can get things right. As leaders we are ready to listen. Because he who is not worthy of listening is not worthy of being a leader. We will continue to listen and we will continue to pilot the affairs of MOD to greater height.”
The perspicacious National Patrons’ Secretary further noted that the National Security summit strategically focuses on Discipline and Vigilance.
In his words he said, ” the summit arrives at a critical time when the MOD movement has continuously advocated for peace and proactive security measures in the church, communities and national levels. By training its members in discipline, vigilance, and orderly conduct, MOD Nigeria continues to play a crucial role in shaping responsible citizens who will safeguard worshippers, manage church events, and promote peace in their local parishes,” he concluded.
